Peary : The Embedded DAQ Application
Peary is a C++ embedded application designed to control and read out Caribou hardware and the detectors under evaluation. It provides hardware abstraction layers for peripheral components and offers a unified interface that simplifies detector configuration and data acquisition. A dedicated command-line interface is included, enabling straightforward interaction with the system during testing and operation.
The source code is publicly accessible on CERN’s GitLab via the Peary repository.
The software name derives from the smallest of the North American caribou subspecies, found in the high Arctic islands of Canada (Wikipedia).
